The Dance school was held at a converted church, wooden floorboards, ever-changing shafts of light through open wooden windows, some with blinds, all under a massive ceiling all of which created the most wonderful ambience and space to capture moments in a very special and highly rated ballet school.
Virginia was the principal teacher gave me permission to dance with and photograph the students for over 3 years. I was present, yet became transparent to the students who danced in their own world finally giving me through trust the opportunity to capture movement, grace, dance and moments oblivious to my presence. This special project amounted to a successful exhibition 'Virginia's Dance School' held at Point Light Gallery in Sydney, Surry Hills.
